DREAMFINDER NEWS OCTOBER 2008

We finally wrapped principle photography on SOULED OUT on Friday 26th September. Due to numerous challenges shooting was extended by a week. On Friday there was a very exhausted yet happy team of cast, crew and production and a slightly de-mob happy feel around!

Having seen a number of cut sequences I think we are on the way to making a truly incredible film. Watch this space for updates on progress.

It was a remarkable experience from my point of view and I feel confident that the lessons I learned will feed into Dreamfinder projects in many positive ways.

I continued to be amazed by the outstanding contribution of many of the trainees on the film and next week we are running an Exit Panel to highlight opportunities that are available in the region.

Now that SOULED OUT has wrapped, I turn my attention to other projects.

We have taken on a very exciting new project as co-producers and have been awarded a development grant from Screen WM's investment fund. We are awaiting signed contracts so watch this space for more news next month.

I have also been invited to become attached as a producer to a really exciting project which is based on a book. Again awaiting signed contracts so watch this space for more news next month.

We continue to develop our slate of projects-next month watch out for an update on this.

Geoff Thompson's (writer of BOUNCER and BROWN PAPER BAG) first feature film, CLUBBED, receives its festival premiere at Raindance Film Festival this month and will be out on general release early next year.

We continue to provide training packages for clients of the Media Centre of University of Birmingham and recently delivered a podcast training session.

Finally I have been approached by Skillset to sit on their Screewriter's Forum which I have agreed to do and which I am sure will prove really interesting.
