DREAMFINDER NEWS APRIL 2010

Another very busy few months which once again has precluded me from getting anything down to put out in our news. Where to begin?

SOUL BOY is finally completed and we are now in negotiations to sign a distribution deal and set up the local world premiere in Stoke in the summer.
I saw the completed film a few weeks ago and it's wonderful-uplifting, vibrant and distinctive, how exciting to be a part of it. You can see an ungraded and unmixed trailer here

Earlier this week I chaired an event entitled "Re-building the TV Drama Industry in the West Midlands" which was extraordinary. Over 130 people came along and I am hopeful that if we all work together there's a chance we could really make an impact.

DEADLOCK keeps moving forward and we are in the process of getting the film financed. If anybody is interested in investing please be in touch.

I have taken on a new project called THE LAST WITNESS. This is a political historical thriller about the Katyn Massacre and has been co-written and will be directed by Piotr Szkopiak. It's an extraordinary story which Piotr has a real personal connection to as his grandfather was one of the Polish officers massacred in Katyn in 1940. We have some great cast attached and we are financing to shoot later this year. Again there are opportunities to invest, please be in touch if you are interested.

AFTER THE DEATH OF ALICE BENNETT has been delivered-the 2nd draft, 2nd polish and it's a wonderful script. We are now hoping to raise further finance to secure a casting consultant and Line Producer to begin to package the project.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON, now called SHOW, is still being written but I have no doubt it will be a really searing comedy once complete.

I have been very fortunate to have been selected for this year's Guiding Lights mentoring programme and I am just waiting to find out who my industry mentor will be. I am delighted to be receiving some mentoring at this stage in my career.
